Group Counseling

Group Therapy provides individuals the opportunity to come together, under the guidance of one to two trained therapists, to work on improving their lives in one way or another. It is our mission to develop a genuine community, where individuals are encouraged and supported through honesty and vulnerability. We are committed to helping determine if group therapy is the best route for you.

Blues Program

Buxmont Counseling is utilizing the Blues Program, an acclaimed wellbeing program for teens (ages 14-18). The Blues Program gives young people the tools to look after their emotional wellbeing; teaching emotional resilience, reduces low mood, and helps alleviate anxious thoughts.

Time Commitment: 6 Weeks, 1 session per week

Participants: 6-8 teens per group

Location: Buxmont Counseling Center

Ages: 14-18

Fee: $25 per session ($150 total upfront)

Start Date: October 31 - December 12

When: Thursdays

Time: 3:30pm - 4:30pm

This group is for those struggling with: Low mood (depression related symptoms), anxious thoughts, emotional awareness.

Physical Disability Group

Join our 6-week therapy and support group designed for individuals impacted by physical disabilities.

Time Commitment: 6 weeks, 1 session per week

Participants: Limited to 8 individuals per group

Ages: 18+

Location: Buxmont Counseling Center Conference Room

Start Date: October 29 - December 3

When: Tuesdays

Time: Group sessions will be held from 6:30pm to 7:30pm, followed by an optional connection and conversation time from 7:30pm to 8:00pm.

Fee: $20 per session

Group Description: Each session will focus on relevant topics, provide practical coping strategies, and help you build a personalized toolkit for managing challenges. You'll also gain valuable community resources and connect with others who share similar experiences in a supportive environment.

Please Note: Participants are required to schedule a brief 15-minute intake call with Andie Farnham or Keara McDevitt, before joining the group. Financial Assistance available.
